Visiting the EcoPreserve
The EcoPreserve is open to the Rutgers community as well as the public during daylight hours.
Visitors to the University can park in the Yellow or Green Lot on the Livingston Campus during the weekends between Friday 5:00pm till Monday morning at 6:00am without a permission and at no cost. Visitors are defined by the University as persons not affiliated with Rutgers University.
If a visitor would like to park in the EcoPreserve Parking Lot (gated lot off Road 3) at any time, they must purchase a permit from the Department of Transportation Services using the link (https://ipo.rutgers.edu/dots/online-visitor-permits) for the cost of $5.00 a day, plus sales tax.
Alternatively, visitors can park in Johnson Park (at the small gravel lot on Johnson Park Road near the intersection of River Road and Cedar Lane). There is an EcoPreserve trailhead across River Road (cross at the light). No permit needed to park in Johnson Park.
The EcoPreserve is also a short walk from the Rutgers University bus stop at the Livingston Quads on Road 3.
