About the Site
The RUEP Interactive Maps project was created by the Advanced Environmental Geomatics class of Spring 2012 at Rutgers University. Led by Professor Richard Lathrop and Wansoo Im, a four-student team created this site to give the community a way to learn about the natural and historical value of the Rutgers EcoPreserve, and to be involved in gathering data on the ecological and recreational aspects of this public preserve. The site builds off earlier work of the Advanced Environmental Geomatics class of Spring 2008.
The interactive maps seen on this site were created using Mappler. This innovative application allows the community to contribute their own data, which is then displayed as attractive visual maps and charts.
