RU students from the RU Outdoors Club and the Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society came out Sunday March 8 2020 to enhance the Orange Trail crossing of Buell Brook with a new set of steps and stepping stones.
The Rutgers EcoPreserve participated in the Smithsonian Institute’s Snapshot USA: a collaboration between researchers from each of the 50 states seeking to capture the diversity of animals across the United States using camera trapping. A network of motion-detector cameras (sometimes referred to as camera traps) were set up across the Ecopreserve during the months of September through October, 2019. A gallery of our favorite images has been compiled from the hundreds of images that were captured. Catch a glimpse of wildlife…
The EcoPreserve is back open for walking, hiking, biking, birding and hopefully cross-country skiing – if we get some snow. Please note that sections of the EcoPreserve are closed (posted by yellow signs) through January 20, 2020 due to our ongoing deer management programs. Most trails are open, except for the Wildlife Trail which will be closed though January 20. Please respect the posted areas.
