• Trail Work Day

    Come out to celebrate Earth Week in the EcoPreserve. Help plant trees and work on the trails. Meeting time 12 noon at RU Outdoors Club Shed, Road 1 (in warehouses near Crew Practice facility).

  • Run for the Woods

    The annual RUN for THE WOODS is scheduled for Saturday, May 12 at 9am. The race is a 5k on the trails through the EcoPreserve. Organized by the RU Ecology & Evolution Graduate Student Association. $25 race fee to support EEGSA student activities and trail maintenance in the Preserve. sign up at runsignup.com by searching for "run for the woods"

  • Celebrate National Trails day on June 2

    Come celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday June 2 at the Rutgers EcoPreserve Bird walk at 9 am Trails Work Day 1-4 pm For both - Meet at RU EcoPreserve Parking Lot (Yellow chain and red sign) off of Road 3 Livingston Campus Bring work gloves and water.

  • Volunteer Trail Work Day – Sunday July 22 9am-Noon

    Come out and help build a new trail loop on Sunday July 22 9am-noon. We'll be transporting in lumber for a bridge and boardwalk on a new trail in the western reaches of the EcoPreserve.  We'll meet along the steam line west of the Ave E roundabout kiosk trailhead entrance. https://goo.gl/maps/iJCwF7boWYz

  • Opening of the new Wildlife Loop Trail

    Come celebrate the opening of the new Wildlife Loop Trail at the Rutgers Ecological Preserve. Sunday October 28, 2018 2-4 pm. Meet at EcoPreserve Trailhead Kiosk across from the Avenue E/Rockafeller Avenue Roundabout. A guided walk of approximately 2 miles will be led by EcoPreserve Director Rick Lathrop.
